Yes. Foreign citizens and foreign companies can own and manage a Romanian company. Some documents may need a certified translation or an apostille — we’ll tell you exactly which ones for your situation.
Most of the time goes into preparing the documents. Once the file is complete and submitted, the Trade Register usually processes it within a few working days.
Yes. Every Romanian company needs a registered office and proof that it may use the address. Our real estate side can help you find a suitable space.

The process
Five steps. Most of the time goes into the third — getting the documents right.
We talk through your plans, founders and activities, and agree what you need from us.
We recommend the legal form, shareholding, activity codes and tax regime — and explain why.
We prepare the articles of association and declarations, and sort out the registered office and share capital.
We file with the Trade Register and collect your registration certificate with the company’s fiscal code (CUI).
Bank account, VAT and e-Factura where needed, accounting handover, and your financial plan for the first year.

Questions
Not necessarily. Many steps can be handled remotely, and documents can often be signed with a qualified electronic signature or through a power of attorney. We’ll tell you which steps, if any, need you in person.
An SRL (limited liability company) suits most new businesses: it’s simpler to run, and shareholders’ liability is limited to their contribution. An SA (joint-stock company) is designed for larger ventures and comes with higher capital and governance requirements.
It depends on your expected revenue, costs and activity, and the rules change from year to year. We model both options with your numbers before you register.

Renting? The path is shorter: brief, viewings, lease review, and a handover report (proces-verbal de predare-primire) when you move in.

We filter listings and new developments, and arrange viewings in person or by video call.
Before you commit: the land book extract (extras de carte funciară), cadastral documents and, for apartments, confirmation from the owners’ association that no maintenance fees are owed.
We negotiate terms and help you sign a preliminary agreement (antecontract) that sets the price, deposit and completion date.
The sale is signed before a notary public, who registers it in the land book. You collect the keys.

In many cases, yes. The rules differ for EU and non-EU citizens, and for apartments, houses and land. Some buyers purchase through a Romanian company. We’ll confirm the right route for you before you make an offer.

O.Y.S MANAGEMENT S.R.L. was registered in Bucharest in 2019 as a business and management consultancy. Today we work with two kinds of clients: founders setting up a company in Romania, and people buying, investing in or renting property in Bucharest.
How we work
